Young Front again Passes Documents for Registration

Young Front organization has once again submitted documents to the department of Justice of Minsk city executive committee for state registration.

As we have informed, last time after a congress held ion 7 May, state bodies refused to register Young Front. Last time the juridical department of Minsk city executive committee referred to contradictions in the statute and denied Young Front state registration in the run-up to the court trial. The statute of the organization calls the Central council the supreme body in the organization, while Young Front members held a statutory meeting, and not a council.

Last Friday, on 1 June, Young Front held a Central Council session in the headquarters of the Belarusian People’s Front party. A special list of members of the headquarters and leadership of Young Front was defined there to be submitted for registration. Today Young Front press secretary Barys Haretski brought all documents necessary for registration to Justice Department.

’Foundational documents have been drawn up in line with all legal norms of Belarusian law. Now we are to wait for an answer of state officials. In case another answer would be negative, we shall sue them right away, as there were no other remarks after the last attempt of Young Front registration,’ Barys Haretski said.
