On 12 April Dzianis Sakhar, an activist of the Belarusian National-Bolshevik movement, was tried for alleged insubordination to the police (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Violations).
12.08.2013 Brest authorities ban a picket against the bad state of the roads
The Brest City Executive Committee prohibited the local activists of the civil campaign "Tell the truth!" to hold a picket against the unsatisfactory state of the roads in the suburb of Paudniovy.
12.08.2013 Officers of the Baranavichy City Executive Committee get confused in the case of the Milavidy festival
On 9 August the second hearing on the lawsuit of the activist of the “For Freedom” movement Viktar Syrytsa against the actions of the newspaper of the Baranavichy District Executive Committee “Nash Krai” took place at the Baranavichy City and District Court. The proceedings were held by Judge Volha Apanovich in the Belarusian language.

As a part of the nationwide campaign "Let's do better!", the Civil Initiative "Paperwork in Belarusian!" launched a campaign to extend the use of the Belarusian language in civil court proceedings.

In the evening of 8 August the activist of the Belarusian Christian DemocracyViachaslau Sheleh went to the Police Department of the Babruisk City Executive Committee in order to take his wife for an interrogation at the Investigation Committee in connection with the recent kidnapping of their daughter Natallila.
09.08.2013 Civil society activists had a meeting with Belarusian MPs
On 7 August the head of the Center for Legal Transformation Alena Tankachova and the lawyer of the Assembly of Democratic NGOs of Belarus Yuru Chavusau met with representatives of the Regular Commission of the Chamber of Representatives for Human Rights, National Relations and Mass Media. The Parliament was represented by MP Valery Kokash and a representative of the secretariat of the Chamber of Representatives.
09.08.2013 Salihorsk: People's referendum held under police surveillance
On Thursday, 8 August, the capital of the Belarusian miners, Salihorsk, was visited by the leaders of the initiative "Popular Referendum." The oppositionists discussed with the residents their life problems, but had to do it under a vigilant surveillance of the police.

Human Rights Committee of the UN has registered a communication of the head of the Zhlobin district organization of the “Fair World” Party Valery Rybchanka concerning his unlawful arrest in July 2011.

On 8 August social activist Viktar Syrytsa filed an appeal to the Brest Regional Court against the verdict of the Baranavichy City and District Court concerning the Milavidy festival.

Seeing an announcement about a vacancy in the police in the local newspaper “Volnaye Hlybokaye”, the local oppositionist filed a written statement of employment as a senior police inspector of information systems. Two days later he received a refusal.

A member of the Mahiliou branch of the United Civil Party Mikalai Hladyshau, who on 4 July held a picket agaianst the plans to place a base of the Russian air forces in Belarus, will be tried on 15 September.

08.08.2013 Zhlobin: official events dedicated to Day of Builder instead of a picket
Zhlobin District Executive Committee did not allow to hold two pickets, planned by members of the Belarusian Leftist Party "Fair World" on 9 and 10 August. The denial, signed by the head of the executive committee Henadz Suzdaleu, was recived by the head of the Zhlobin district organization of the “Fair World”, Valery Rybchanka.
