10.09.2013 Veterans of war in Afghanistan urge the Parliament to restore their benefits
Former soldiers-internationalists, veterans of the Afghan war, call on the government to restore their social benefits and guarantees. An appropriate appeal was filed to the prime-Minister Mikhail Miasnikovich by the co-heads of the national NGO of veterans of the war in Afghanistan “Defenders of the Fatherland” Aliaksandr Kamarouski and Aleh Volchak.
10.09.2013 Application for picket against picket bans filed in Slonim
The head of the Slonim association of democratic forces Ivan Sheha filed an application to the Slonim District Executive Committee for holding a picket on 28 September. The planned number of participants is about 40 people.

On 9 September the member of the Slonim organization of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Ales Maisiuk filed an application to the Slonim District Executive Committee to get a permission for the picket he intended to hold on 29 September in the city park.

Hrodna human rights defenders Uladzimir Khilmanovich and Viktar Sazonau received summons to the Leninski District Court of Hrodna. Most probably, this is a reaction to the appeal against actions of the Hrodna City Executive Committee, filed by them and one more human rights defender, Raman Yurhel.

The monitoring service of the Belarusian Association of Journalists found about an incident that took place on 4 September in Babruisk with the participation of a well-known local blogger Aleh Zhalnou.

Pruzhany residents demand to transfer to another place the alcohol shop “Sklad”, belonging to the Brest Distillery Plant, which has been opened recently opposite secondary school No. 4. The people consider such placement of the shop as harmful for children and teenagers.

The application for the picket in the Mazyryn park was filed by a member of the Conservative-Christian Party “Belarusian Popular Front” Yan Dziarzhautsau. He intends to hold the event on 14 September.

Homel human rights defenders Anatol Paplauny and Leanid Sudalenka have applied to the prosecutor of the Homel region concerning the non-implementation of the Law “On Mass Events”.
09.09.2013 Picket against foreign airbases banned in Bykhau
Bykhau District Executive Committee banned a picket against the deployment of foreign military bases. The action was to have taken place on 8 September at the local park “50 Hadou Peramohi”. The head of the Bykhau district organization of the Belarusian Popular Front, writer and journalist Siarhei Antonau, received an appropriate answer on 7 September.

The Kastrychnitski District Court of Vitsebsk found the member of the Belarusian Leftist Party “Fair World” Andrei Andreyeu 2 million rubles for distribution of leaflets “People's Referendum”, which was considered as a violation of the Law “On Mass Media”.
