The head of the Slonim
association of democratic forces Ivan Sheha filed an application to
the Slonim District Executive Committee for holding a picket on 28
September. The planned number of participants is about 40 people.
According to Mr. Sheha, this will be a picket of protest
against the practice of banning pickets of democratic forces of
Slonim by the local authorities.
During the last ten years
Slonim officials haven't allowed the local democratic activists to
hold any pickets or rallies in Slonim.
