Mrs. F. Pauliukova, member of the ‘Just World’ party, was refused registration as candidate for Hadzilavichy village council (Rahachou district, Homel region). The local party activists think this occurred due to a mistake by head of the village executive committee.

Andrei Talkavets, Belarusian Popular Front member, who is running in Northern constituency number 2 of Drahichyn, Brest region, was incited for a conversation to the local FGB office immediately after his registration as candidate.

A number of political and civil activists were detained by the police ahead of the Freedom Day demonstration in Minsk, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.

The leader of the United Civil party fined 30 basic units.
On March 25 the court of Valozhyn districy considered a case against the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka, who was detained in Valozhyn on February 15 near the building of a military base where the trial over Tereza Sobal was held, BelaPAN informs.

Minsk resident Mrs. Tamara Siarhei lodged a complaint with the Central Election Commission against the violation of the electoral legislation, after election leaflets of still unregistered pro-government candidate Uladzimir Halaburda were reported to be distributed and a an interview with the candidate was published in the major Minski kurier state-owned newspaper.

Homel Regional Court dismissed the claim by Piotr Kuzniatsou, Homel regional coordinator of the ‘For Freedom’ movement, lodged after his campaign team for the collection of signatures was not granted registration by local election commission due to exceeding number of its members.
