On 12 March the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus dismissed the appeal of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee against the warning that had been issued to the organization by the Ministry of Justice on 12 January, after the human rights defenders informed Gabriela Knaul, UN Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers about pressurization of the lawyers who defended figurants of the 19 December mass riot case.

On 11 March a KGB officer who introduced himself as Andrei Ryhoravich (he didn't tell his surname) paid a visit to Valiantsin and handed him a writ for an interrogation. However, it is not specified within the frames of what case the activist was to be interrogated.

The trial of Dzmitry Dashkevich, Chair of the Young Front, and Eduard Lobau, his deputy, will take place on 21 March at the Maskouski District Court. They are charged with especially malignant hooliganism (Article 339, part 3 of the Criminal Code). The case will be considered by Judge Alena Shylko.
