Sviatlana Rudkouskaya, activist of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, has lost two jobs following her involvement in the 2010 presidential election campaign. Mrs. Rudkouskaya has been reportedly dismissed from her job as head of two Hrodna house-hold cooperatives, after other persons were appointed to the posts in violation of the law.

Accoridng to his son, Artsiom, on 6 April evening the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka was released from the KGB pre-trial prison on a written recognizance not to leave. He spent almost three months in jail. Now he is taking part in the meeting of the UCP National Committee.

Board Assembly Democratic NGOs of Belarus issued a statement to express its concern over the situation concerning the Minsk office of the Belarusian Popular Front opposition party. The matter is that the utility services of the Savetski district of Minsk refused to extend the rent agreement for the BPF office in Masherau Avenue, 8, occupied by the party for over 20 years.

A National-Bolshevik Yauhen Kontush, arrested for participation in an action of protest against the decision of the penalty execution department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to close the only hospital for prisoners, was in a poor health condition and had fever when he was delivered to Akrestsin Street detention center. The court sentenced him to 12 days of arrest. Yauhen Kontush had a sick note with the diagnosis "quinsy" with him, moreover, he was appointed to visit his doctor that day.
