The Chair of the Young Front, Zmitser Dashkevich, and its
activist Eduard Lobau were transferred to pre-trial prison #1 in Valadarski Street in
Minsk.
This information was confirmed by the administration of the Zhodzina prison #8
where they were kept before.
According to the press-service of the Young
Front, they will be tried this month. The case has been passed to court
already. Dashkevich and Lobau are charged with an assault on two passers by and
beating them with fists and iron pliers, which envisages 3 to 8 years of
imprisonment according to the Criminal Code.
The Young Front and human rights
defenders consider this case as politically motivated.
