Taisiya Kabanchuk, a coordinator of the organizing committee to create the Belarusian Christian Democracy party in the Mahiliou region, was questioned in the Babruisk city KGB department for 7 hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on 2 March.

The coordinator was imposed a gagging order after the questioning. Taisiya Kabanchuk was questioned as a witness of the events on 19 December 2010, and also asked about the activity on behalf of unregistered organization. She was also asked about BCD activist Yauhen Vaskovich, who has been under arrest since 17 January. The KGB called him a terrorist.

The questioning was carried out by KGB officer Nikita Beliachenka. He tried to give Kabanchuk a warning for activity on behalf of unregistered organization.

“This discussion took half the time of the questioning. I was proving that we had acted in the frameworks of the organizing committee to form the party and hadn’t violated the Belarusian law. But he said we had acted as a political party. However, he didn’t issue a warning to me,” Taisiya Kabanchuk told the BCD press service.
