The youth activist Andrei Haidukou, one of the founders of the “Union of Young Intellectuals”, has been kept in the pre-trial prison of the KGB in Minsk for more than three weeks. In the beginning of December he was transferred to the Vitsebsk pre-trial prison #2.

On 3 December four policemen paid a visit to the Slonim-based civil activist Ivan Bedka. They wanted to charge him with posting leaflets. In fact, the activist posted the answer he had received from the Slonim District Executive Committee (DEC) to dwellers of the 1-ai Siamihodki Street.

The Vitsebsk coordinator of the organizational committee of the BChD party Tatsiana Seviarynets received a letter from Dzmitry Dashkevich from the Hrodna prison No 1. In the letter it is explained why the previous letter did not make it to Tatsiana, RFE/RL reports.
