Journalist Siarhei Serabro detained near the “Vitsebskdreu” enterprise

The editor of the “Narodnyia Naviny Vitsebska” (People's news of Vitsebsk) web-site Siarhei Serabro was taking pictures of the yards and street in the city’s outskirts before the visit of Lukashenka.

They are waiting for the Belarusian ruler in Vitsebsk this week. He may visit the Vitsebsk timber processing plant. It is exactly the area of the plant, where the journalist Siarhei Serabro was detained, RFE/RL reports.

At first the editor of the “Narodnyia Naviny Vitsebska” web-site reported about the detention on Twitter. He got into police’s attention when he was taking pictures of the process of new asphalt laying in the areas of the timber processing factory.

Roughly in half an hour Siarhei Serabro was reported to be released.
