Several days ago the Orsha City Department of the Investigative Committee returned to the editor of the independent website orsha.eu Ihar Kazmerchak the computer and the memory sticks confiscated from him during a search on 17 July.

The unofficial ban spreads on all who demonstrate a critical attitude towards Aliaksandr Lukashenka. Yauhen Vapa and Alena Hlahouskaya from Poland have been denied Belarusian issues recently. These days the same happened to the head of the Belarusian Culture Society in Vilnius Khvedar Niunka.

On 7 December a civil activist Viktar Syrytsa received one more letter signed by the deputy head of the Baranavichy City Executive Committee Dz. Kastsiukevich concerning the prohibition of a picket on the Human Rights Day.
10.12.2012 Supreme Court turns down appeal of Belarusian Christian Democracy activist
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus did not satisfy the appeal of a BCD activist Volha Pansevich against the fine of 2.5 million rubles, to which she had been sentenced on 12 June 2012 by the judge of the Slonim District Court Ivan Lastouski for alleged “insubordination to police” and “use of obscene language in public”.

A solidarity action with political prisoners was held for 24 hours in Warsaw on 8 December. All volunteers were given an opportunity to write letters in their support.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka, by a presidential decree issued on 7 December, ruled that employees of woodworking plants may not quit their job without the employer`s permission before the expiry of their labor contract.

An activist of the organization committee for creation of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy received a response from the city executive committee with a refusal to allow the picket.

Political prisoner Zmitser Dashkevich started to prepare for Christmas in a maximum security prison in Hrodna.
10.12.2012 Police raid “Free Theater” performances
On 8 December the police paid another visit to the Belarus “Free Theater” in Minsk. As the head of the “Free Theater” Mikalai Khalezin told charter97.org “policemen came as the day before. They stopped the performance “Zone of Silence” and put down the passport data of all the actors and spectators”.
