started to prepare for Christmas in a maximum security prison in
Hrodna.

Dashkeivch's fiancée,
says he is still kept in solitary confinement. “He is allowed to
walk more often. I hope he already saw the first snow. The main thing
is that he started to prepare for Christmas,” Anastasiya
Palazhanka, who recently received a letter from the political
prisoner, told RFE/RL.
“He started to send
Christmas wishes to people. A lot of people, several hundreds, write
him. I know that he sent over 200 postcards last year. He plans to do
the same this year. I'd like to note that he cannot write all people,
but I know exactly he appreciates every letter.”
The “Young
Front” leader Zmitser Dashkevich was sentenced to an additional
year in prison in August for alleged “failure to obey prison
staff”. He was transferred to a maximum security prison in Hrodna a
month ago as a “persistent violator of the prison rules”.
