The human rights defenders Siarhei Housha, fined one million rubles for the alleged use of obscene language towards members of an election commission while observing the Parliamentary election, filed an appeal to the Brest Region Court.

05.10.2012 Hrodna Region Court turns down appeal against non-registration of BPF organization

The Hrodna Region Court didn’t grant the appeal of the Belarusian Popular Front Party against the non-registration of its regional organization by the justice board of the Hrodna Region Executive Committee. The judge Zoya Nikolskya found nothing illegal in actions of the registering agency.

05.10.2012 Social workers pay visit to Dzianis Sadouski's home

Dzianis Sadouski, an executive secretary of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, was among coordinators of the election boycott campaign in Minsk. He was detained on 28 August when he was pasting boycott posters calling. The Frunzenski District Court of Minsk sentenced him to 10 days in custody.

05.10.2012 Political prisoner Mikalai Dziadok deprived of warm clothes

The prison administration said the political prisoner had no right to have warm clothes. Aliaksandr Dziadok, the father of political prisoner Mikalai Ddziadok, told charter97.org that his son, who already lost the right to receive parcels, make phone calls and see his relatives, was deprived of warm clothes. He also cannot receive medicines. The political prisoner is kept in isolation and cannot meet with his lawyer. Mail is not delivered from him.
