10.08.2012 Protest initiator sacked from “Pinskdreu”
Dzmitry Kudronak, who headed the workers protests at “Pinskdreu” plant, has been sacked. On 9 August, Dzmitry Kudronak had his last day of work on the veneer and furniture plant belonging to “Pinskdreu” holding. The worker received his employment record book with a record “sacked for repeated failures to fulfill his employment duties without good excuse”, RFE/RL reports.

Imprisoned “Young Front” leader Zmitser Dashkevich has studied the materials of a new criminal case against him – for “repeated failure to obey prison authorities”, RFE/RL reports.

In the evening of 8 August police detained journalists Yuliya Darashkevich and Iryna Kozlik while they were making photos for a virtual poster with paratrooper bears within the frames of a solidarity action with the imprisoned photographer Anton Surapin.

On 6 July election observer Uladzimir Tseliapun applied to the head of the organizational and personnel department of the Mazyr District Executive Committee Veranika Baikova who is also the secretary of constituency election commission #42 in order to find about the date, time and place of the sitting of the Mazyr District Executive Committee at which the precinct election commissions of election constituency #42 were to be formed.

On 7 August the Bialynichy District Executive Committee determined the places where candidates for the Parliament are allowed to hold electoral meetings and place agitation materials.

The Orsha District Executive Committee included six out of eight nominees of the Belarusian leftist party “Fair World” in precinct election commissions, which is quite a good ratio. Other political parties didn't nominate any representatives to the PECs of the Orsha district.
09.08.2012 Strange circumstances in formation of Babruisk PECs
The list of members of precinct election commission #27 includes Marharyta Bialiayeva. Opposite her surname it is indicated that she was nominated to the commission by collection of signatures of electors, which is followed by the inscription (will bring) in brackets. Most probably, she is well-known for her work in the commission, if it she is allowed to present such papers later.

08.08.2012 Bialynichy: only well-known people included in PECs
On 7 August 20 precinct commissions for the election to the Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly of the 5th Convocation were established in the Bialynichy district. The appropriate ruling of the Bialynichy District Executive Committee (#17-1) was published in the district state-owned newspaper “Zara nad Druttsiu”.
08.08.2012 Mahiliou: ban on canvassing is referred to care about children
Pavel Shyshou, the head of a number of hostels including hostel in Tsimirazeu Street 11, required explanations from his subordinate, an activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) after learning that he was a member of the electoral team of prospective candidate Leanid Padbiaretski, and prohibited him to collect signatures in the hostel.
