24.01.2013 Mahiliou KGB unwilling to return camcorder seized after December 2010 events
Zmitser Salauyou, leader of Mahiliou regional office of the Belarusian Popular Front “Adradzhenne”, has received another response to his request to return his camcorder confiscated following the December 2010 post-election protest. This time the politician was advised to look for it in Minsk’s office of the Investigative Committee. Zmitser Salauyou is outraged by the attitude of special services.
24.01.2013 Deputy Prosecutor General: Sentence to Iryna Khalip does not contain direct prohibition on going abroad
“According to the court decision, there are no obstacles to travelling abroad. She should contact the corrections office of Minsk's Partyzanski district police department. She is under supervision of this agency. Khalip should file there an application. The office chief will examine it and make his decision,” deputy prosecutor general of Belarus Alyaksei Stuk told BelaPAN news agency.

Andrei Haidukou, Navapolatsk pro-democratic activist arrested by the KGB, met his counsel in the KGB detention center in Minsk. According to his mother Volha, he is well, looking good, and has no health problems. Apart from that, he has received a parcel from home. Andrei also started to get newspapers, Radio Racyja reports.

The human rights defender contested the actions of three ministries at a time – Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of the Interior. However, without success.

22.01.2013 BPF Vitsebsk members complain to Prosecutor's Office of city architect chief
The statement submitted by local office of the Belarusian Popular Front deals with the scheduled construction of the so-called Palace of Ceremonies. The decision to build it in the historical center is deemed as illegal by the BPF activists. And they see it as a violation of the rights of citizens, since such projects are not submitted for public discussion, and made “behind the scenes and in a manner far from being transparent.”
