June 30, the Tsentralny District Court of Homel refused to initiate civil proceedings on Andrei Tsianiuta's claim to the university, because he didn't implement the requirement of the pre-trial settlement. However, after the First Deputy Minister of Education upheld the expulsion of Mr. Tsianiuta, the trial had nothing left to do but to start the proceedings on the merits.

The Young Front” activist Andrei Tsianiuta was a third-year-student studying jurisprudence by correspondence at the Homel State University named after Frantsysk Skaryna. The reason for his expulsion was the report of the dean Mikail Murashka, to the rector Aliaksandr Rahachou about the administrative arrest of the activist for ten days on May 6, 2014.

A. Tsianiuta disagreed with the administrative arrest and his complaint is being considered by the Chairman of the Supreme Court. He also intends to appeal to the Human Rights committee of the UN if he receives a negative answer.
