Administrator of Vkontakte group made statement about torture

Recently Siarhei Pauliukevich has issued a video address to Internet users in which he told about torture and recruitment by KGB agents.

"I, Pauliukevich Siarhei Viktaravich, am the founder of the group We are for a Great Belarus.

On 1 July 2011, illegally listening to my home phone, intelligence agencies found about my exact location at a specific time and kidnapped me in a public place. They drew up a fabricated violation report. As a result of a false testimony, I was unlawfully sentenced to 15-day arrest term. They had immediately stole my telephone and passport, which haven’t been returned to me.

On 14 July 2011 in the morning, as I found after my release from jail, my mother was taken away from her working place by KGB officers and military intelligence. An unlawful search was held in our apartment, without a warrant and witnesses, without drawing up official minutes of withdrawal of computer equipment, in a very bold manner, with abuse of power and violations of laws. They took away the computer during the first search. The second search took place in the afternoon, after my torture in the Zhodzina prison. This time they looked for my flash memory card, stole two telephone SIM-cards, and returned my computer, having formatted all discs with all private information.

The same day, at about 3 p.m. on 14 July 2011 they started torturing me in the Zhodzina prison.


How was I tortured?

I was taken to a room in which there were two men in masks and rubber gloves, as they then said they were from military intelligence. Without any conversations they put me to the wall, twisted my hands, put them in handcuffs which they fixed maximally tight, put a plastic bag on my hand and started to smother me.

Then they put me on the floor face down, one of them sat on my back, blocked my breath with the bag, then took my chin with both hands and began to stretch as far as he could, I could not even utter a sound, while the other walked over my foot my foot bones, shoulders, pressing down the way it would hurt most. All this was accompanied by the humiliation of my personality, psychological pressure, threats to kill or maim, blackmail, torture in relation to my mother, accompanied by statements of paranoid Jewish masonry conspiracy theories. They hit me in the back, stomach and the top of the head, but tried not to leave any traces. They clamped the ring finger of my left hand with something, as a result of which I still feel numbness in the palm. Taking two fingers behind my Adam's apple and gripped it as though I was dragging him, after that it hurt to swallow even saliva. And of course put on the stretch, so that I almost did twine, with handcuffs on my hands and the plastic bag on my head. I was interrogated standing in this position for about 2-3 hours, and then I felt so numb that I couldn’t move on my oun, so they had to lift me up.


What did they want?

First, they wanted me to give them access to my account VKontakte to control the group We are for the Great of Belarus and the March of Millions.

Second, they made me sign a cooperation agreement with the KGB.

Third, they forced me to read their text on a video camera, which I think will be broadcast after all this becomes known to the world. I decided to just agree to everything to have a chance to tell the whole story from a safe place, because there are only two options – to accept it all or be subject to even more painful and sophisticated methods of torture.

I officially announce the break of the cooperation agreement with the KGB, which I signed on 14 July 2011 after the torture, blackmail, threats to kill me or maim strongly, to evict my family from its apartment, to dismiss from work all the family members and to use other forms of repression against my family , including torture and threats. I have never been a stool pigeon and never depart from my principles. I've never cooperated with any security services and do not intend to retreat from my principles. I demand that the Prosecutor's Office of Belarus opened a criminal case under article 128 "Crime against human security", Part 2, paragraph 6 Art.182 "Kidnapping", Art. 185 "Compulsion"; Art.202 Part 2, "Violation of the privacy of home and other lawful possessions of citizens"; Art. 203 Part 2, "Violation of the secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, telegraph or other communication"; Art. 206 Part 2, "Robbery "; st.397 Part 1" Knowingly illegal detention or imprisonment "; art.398" Holding a knowingly unlawful search "; st.401 Part 1," False testimony ".
