On 13 July, Biaroza policemen reportedly arrested and beaten Mrs. Halina Kavalevich, local activist of the Conservative Christian Part of the Belarusian Popular Front.

The 65-year-old activist is currently trying to appeal the beating at local prosecuting and police authorities, arguing that she the police used violence during the arrest, beat her up and forced into a police bus despite her claustrophobia. Mrs. Kavalevich was charged with disobeying the police and is due to stand trial soon.

According to Mrs. Kavalevich, the medical examination she applied for after the incident was accompanied with pure lawfulness, as the expert refused to provide a copy of the examination after a telephone conversation with unknown persons.
