The General Prosecutor’s Office has sent the appeal lodged by human rights defender Ales Bialiatski there. It is connected with the fact Ales Mihalevic made public.
The General Prosecutor’s Office has sent an official reply to Bialiatski today, on March 16.
The appeal was sent to Attorney General Ryhor Vasilevich at the end of February when former candidate Ales Mihalevich described tortures and brutal treatment in the KGB detention centre. Ales Bialiatski asked the Attorney General to react to it, to reveal the people responsible for it and to subject them to responsibility if they really had done the mentioned things, informs the human rights centre “Viasna”.
