25.09.2012 Baranavichy: observer registers a rapid growth of the number of home-voters
Independent observer Halina Yarashevich registered a rapid growth of the number of the electors who decided to vote at home at precinct #24 in Baranavichy-Eastern election constituency #6. On the election day, 23 September, this number increased from the initial 47 people to as many as 362.
25.09.2012 Masty: constituency election commission holds final sitting... in the nighttime
Masty constituency election commission #56 held its sitting to sum up the election results in secret. In the morning of 24 September an observer of the “Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections” Aleh Ramashkevich came to the building where the election commission was situated and was told that the sitting had been held late in the evening. In fact, if it was really so, it could be held only at night. The commission refused to present a copy of the final protocol to Ramashkevich, telling him to learn the results of the election several days after in the local press.

Workers of the enterprise composed a collective appeal to the Minsk City Procuracy asking to draw to criminal account the head of the housing economy #1 (ZhREA) of the Frunzenski districft Vasil Shashkawho is responsible for drafting the fictitious list of delegates who allegedly supported the nomination of Savanovich as a candidate for the parliament.
25.09.2012 Human rights defender Pavel Levinau demands that results of voting be declared invalid
Mr. Levinau filed two appeals to the Central Election Commission to report about violations at polling stations #52 and #58 of the Chkalauskaya election constituency in Vitsebsk. He proposes to annul the results of the voting there.
24.09.2012 Yarmoshyna: 109 members elected to the Chamber of Representatives in Belarus
According to preliminary information, 109 MPs were elected to the Chamber of Representatives as a result of the parliamentary election. This was stated by the head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna in the night of 23-24 September, during a press-conference on the results of the voting.

The lecturers of the Baranavicy State University Natallia Maiseyenka and Hanna Verameyka didn’t force students to vote early, but just informed them about the possibility to do it on 18-22 September – this is the answer received by observer Siarhei Housha from the head of Baranavichy-Western constituency election commission #5 Tatsiana Latyshava.
24.09.2012 OSCE observers: the election in Belarus cannot be called free and impartial
Competition was limited and many OSCE commitments on citizens' democratic rights to associate, to stand as candidates and to express themselves freely were not respected in the 18-23 September parliamentary elections in Belarus, OSCE observers say in a preliminary report issued on 24 September, BelaPAN says. The organization intends to prepare a full-scale report within two months.

Independent observer Valiantsina Shorakh, who monitored the election at polling station #31 of Brest-Western election constituency #1 at the “Vodakanal” enterprise during the whole period of voting, reported substantial discrepancies in the turnout.

The Government of Belarus has responded to a complaint to the Human Rights Committee in the case of Ales Bialiatski, filed on his behalf by his wife, Natalia Pinchuk, and signed by Antoine Bernard, the Chief Executive Officer of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), of which Mr. Bialiatski is vice-president (link http://spring96.org/en/news/53618).

Election commissions of many polling stations of Hrodna artificially increased the turnout by adding some 100-500 votes to the real number in their final protocols.
24.09.2012 Ales Makayeu sentenced to 6 days of imprisonment
The head of the solidarity movement “Razam” Ales Makayeu was tried at the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk for alleged violation of Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Violations. Judge Aliaksandr Yakunchykhin sentenced him to 6 days of imprisonment.
