KGB: unsuccessful attempt to recruit poet Aleh Nahorny
KGB officers undertook an unsuccessful attempt to recruit Aleh Nahorny with the assistance of the Zavadski District Police Department of Minsk.
Judge of the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk Alena Siamak refused to consider the lawsuit of Anatol Liabedzka against KGB. Since April 2011, the politician has been trying to get back the notebook and money which had been confiscated from him during a search.
The activists were detained during the opening of the memorial sign "River of Memory" on 11 April and held in detention during one night. On 12 April the Leninski District Court fined them 2 and 1.5 million rubles for "disorderly conduct" (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Violations).
On 6 April the road police stopped the car of Aliaksei Pikulik, head of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies. They told him to drive to the Tsentralny District Police Department of Minsk for identification as a suspect in a fight and forgery of documents.
Anastasiya Shuleika and Yury Khodus, detained during the solemn opening of the memorial sign "River of Memory" at the entrance of the Kastrychnitskaya metro station in Minsk on 11 April, were sentenced to pay huge fines.
