UN Human Rights Committee registers complaints by Brest pro-dem activists
The UN Human Rights Committee registered communications by four Brest pro-democratic activists Dzianis Turchaniak, Iryna Laurouskaya, Valery Faminski and Raman Kisliak under # 1948/2010.
In their complaint submitted on 21 November 2009 the activists argue that the Belarusian authorities violated Articles 14 (1), 19 (2), 21 and 26 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, by imposing a ban on a picket in January 2009.
