Opposition leader Mikalai Statkevich has been released from the KGB prison in Minsk.
"He has been in the KGB jail since Friday," his wife Maryna Adamovich said.
The whereabouts of Statkevich were unknown for three days. Meanwhile, he was expected to lead the protest on March 25, which was violently cracked down by security forces.
According to the politician, he was detained at his friend's apartment on Friday evening and brought to the KGB pre-trial jail.
He was questioned and accused of preparing riots.
However, this morning Statkevich was pushed into a bus and taken outside Minsk, where he was released without further explanations.
