The Court of Minsk’s Partyzanski district has convicted animal rights activists for staging a picket outside the City Circus on April 17. All of them faced charges of participating in an unauthorized mass event (Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code).
Yana Karaliova, Artsiom Karaliou, Maksimilian Boichanka, Pavel Siarhei, Darya Tyletskaya, Yury Puchyla, and Viachaslau Kasinerau were sentenced to fines ranging from 3 150 000 to 6 300 000 rubles.
The hearing of charges brought against Uliana Trehubava has been postponed to June 3.
