Court Denies Registration to Mother's Movement 328
Activists will appeal against the decision in the Supreme Court of Belarus.
The decision on registration of the Mother's Movement 328, established by mothers of convicted sons for an alleged drug distribution, is delivered, Radio Racyja reports. The court has denied registration to the Mother's Movement 328.
"Judge Vyachyslau Mikhnevich has refused to register the organization and taken the side of the Department of Justice, which denied registration in its time.
In fact, the refusal is based on three points: 1. It denies the Mother's Movement 328 to participate in charity. 2. The name implies numbers 328, which goes against the Belarusian legislation. 3. While submission, the logo was also provided, although initiators did not ask to register it," Larysa Zhyhar, the chairman of the initiative group on the creation of the public community, informed journalists.
She believes that the refusal runs counter to legislative acts and requirements of the Republic of Belarus in front of the international community, as well as it restricts rights of its initiators in creation of the public community.
Initiators will appeal against the decision of the Hrodna regional court in the Supreme Court.
