On November 5, the Hrodna Regional Court heard the case of Ivan Kulesh, a resident of Lida district accused of triple murder, theft and robbery. As a result of the hearing, the prosecutor asked to punish the defendant with the capital punishment.
Ivan Kulesh’s counsel still hopes to mitigate the sentence and prevent another execution in Belarus. He asked to sentence the defendant to 25 years in prison.
The verdict is expected to be announced at the next hearing scheduled for November 19.
