Tamara Shukala, chairperson of the Baranavičy City Territorial Election Commission says she “doesn't know” the number of the people who voted early at the polling stations of the city.

She refused to provide such information to a correspondent of the non-state newspaper “Intex-press" Makar Malinouski, saying she didn't know it. Being asked where the Central Election Commission was receiving this information from, she answered: “I don't know, probably the PECs pass such information directly to the CEC.”

Having received such a reply, the correspondent of “Intex-press” appealed to the Secretary of the Central Election Commission Mikalai Lazavik in order to clarify who collected such information. According to the CEC secretary, all the data on early voting in Baranavičy were to be collected by the chairperson of the city territorial election commission Tamara Shukala, and there could be no other variants.

Eventually the newspaper obtained the information about the number of early voters in Baranavičy from the chairman of the Brest Regional Election Commission Aliaksandr Kaliada, who also noted that such information was sent to the regional commission by the Baranavichy City Territorial Election Commission.
