This was reported by Aliaksei Paulouski, who is collecting signatures in support of presidential contender from the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka.

“August 3 I was collecting signatures at hostels of the plant "Zenith" in Kiedravaja Street. Residents of the hostel told me that the company's administration had ordered them to bring their passports to the plant more than two weeks ago, so that they could sign in support of Aliaksandr Lukashenka. At that time, the collection of signatures hadn't yet started,” says Mr. Paulouski.

The civil society activist says that in such a way there were obtained about 500 signatures in favour of Lukashenka's candidacy. Those who refused to sign were threatened with dismissal. The signatures were collected by representatives of the administrative-economic department of the company.

In connection with the incident Mr. Paulouski filed appeals to the Prosecutor General and to the Central Election Commission. He demands that the signatures collected with the employment of the administrative resource be revoked, the electoral team of A. Lukashenka be warned and Lukashenka be removed from the electoral race.
