June 3, the repeated trial on the administrative case against Uladzimir Kudrautsau, charged with defaming policeman Aliakdsandr Dziameshka, started at the Kryčaŭ District Court.

The court heard the testimonies of Uladzimir Kudrautsau, Aliaksandr Dziameshka, the editor of “Voĺny Horad” Siarhei Niarouny and its journalist Mikalai Herdziy, the head of the division for securing law and order of the Kryčaŭ District Police Department I. Vusik and the head of the Kryčaŭ DPD S. Chupryn. The court didn't manage to question another employee of the DPD, lieutenant colonel Kuts, who was present during the writing of the report of administrative violation against Mr. Kudrautsau on April 23, 2015.

In his speech, Uladzimir Kudrautsau again asked the court to dismiss the case due to the lack of corpus delicti in his actions, also referring to numerous violations committed by the employees of the Kryčaŭ District Police Department while drawing up the repeated report of administrative offense against him.

The publisher of "Voĺny Horad" also asked the court to issue a private ruling concerning both the employees of the police department of the Mahilioŭ Regional Executive Committee, who initiated the administrative proceedings, and the employees of the Kryčaŭ District police Department, who committed violations and demonstrated a low level of professionalism, and attach it to the case.

Let us remind that in the new violation report, drawn up May 25, lieutenant colonel Vusik wrote that Kudrautsau, being at home, "produced misleading defamatory fabrication against the police officer Aliaksandr Dziameshka by providing information to the website spring96.org that A. Dziameshka threatened him to instigate a criminal case for defamation during the proceedings concerning his statement about the head of the department of ideology, culture and youth affairs of the Kryčaŭ District Executive Committee M. Maksimava, after which the aforementioned information was published at the aforementioned website on April 5, 2015.”

The first trial of the administrative case on the alleged defamation of the employee of the division for combating economic crime Aliaksandr Dziameshka by the publisher of “Voĺny Horad” Uladzimir Kudrautsau took place May 15. As a result, Judge Katsiaryna Shmatkova returned the case to the Kryčaŭ District Police Department for revising due to the shortcomings in the violation report drawn up by the police.

The trial will continue at Kryčaŭ District Court at 3 p.m. on June 4.
