Hrodna Regional Court dismisses appeal by freelance journalists

Freelance journalists Ales Dzianisau and Ales Kirkevich have received a negative decision from the Hrodna Regional Court, after Judge Sviatlana Dalhashei dismissed their appeals.

The judge did not say anything about the essence of their appeals and followed the usual practice of confirming earlier verdicts.

On April 22, the two freelance journalists were fined 20 units each by a decision of the Lieninski District Court Judge Alena Piatrova under Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code on charges of illegal manufacture and distribution of information products.
