Baranavičy civil society activists Siarhei Housha and Viktar Syrytsa have paid a visit to remand prison No. 6 in Bresckaja Street, 258 in Baranavičy and passed a parcel for the political prisoner Yury Rubtsou.
“At present Mr. Rubtsou is kept there. He regards the criminal case under Article 415 of the Criminal Code as fabricated. We know that he is still keeping a hunger-strike of protest and is not going to stop it. Nevertheless, we passed him most necessary foodstuffs which he could pass to his cell-mates,” said Mr. Housha.
He added that a guard of prison No. 6 blankly refused to pass to the prisoner the newspapers “Naša Niva” and “Svobodnye Novosti”, calling them “opposition press”.
