Yury Rubtsou is questioned at Investigation Committee

February 9, Homel activist Yury Rubtsou, who is serving a sentence in an open correctional facility in the village of Kuplin (Pruzhany district), was taken to the District Investigative Committee for questioning. The political prisoner managed to report it over the phone.

One of the possible reasons can be the instigation of criminal proceedings for evasion of punishment, as provided for in Article 415 of the Criminal Code, which envisages up to 3 years in prison.

February 1, Yury Rubtsou received a warning under Article 415 from the open correctional facility No. 7. He considers it a complete nonsense, as one can't evade from a penalty staying in a correctional facility.

He still demands to be employed and paid an “average salary” of $ 600 and says there is nothing unusual in it as everyone wants to live a normal life, the more that political prisoners have to pay for everything on their own.
