December 8, Svislach District Court fined a member of the United Civil Party Uladzimir Prudnikau 1.5 million roubles for taking part in the commemoration of the insurgents of 1863-1864 in Svislach on October 26, 2014.

The trial lasted for about an hour and was led by the Chair of Svislach District Court Aliaksandr Shylin. In 2012 this judge sentenced several participants of the commemoration of the insurgents to administrative arrest.

Uladzimir Prudnikau is already the seventh person to be fined for participation in this year's Day of Memory of insurgents of 1863-1864 in Svislach and Yakushouka. Before him, fines were issued to Svislach resident Yury Hlebik, Hrodna residents Mikhal Karnevich, Uladzimir Khilmanovich, Yezhy Hryhencha, Vital Lopasau and Vaukavysk resident Vital Huliak. At least six people are yet to be tried on this case.
