Hrodna: administrative case suspended, laptop not returned though

Hrodna resident Volha Krapotsina has received a response from the police bureau of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee. There it is stated that the printed production, seized from the activist on September 19, was sent for examination, and the administrative case against her was suspended.

However, the official letter contains no information about the laptop that belongs to Krapotsina's room-mate and was seized by the police during the so-called “inspection of the room”. In her address Volha Krapotsina asked the police to return the groundlessly seized item to its owner.

Bear in mind that on September 19 Volha Krapotsina was detained by police in the centre of Hrodna. Police officers seized from the detainee 17 leaflets with the text “Return the Crimea! Hands off Ukraine!” and “Shame to traitors of the homeland with Russian flag in their hands! You will shake hands with Putin when he'll raise you on bayonets!”. The detainee was released from the police department in a couple of hours. Her place of residence was searched under the disguise of an “examination”.
