Andrei Kasheuski, an activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, was detained last evening in Minsk. He was reportedly distributing independent newspapers to earn a living.
Andrei Kasheuski was charged with an administrative violation – disorderly conduct (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). It is likely that today his case will be heard by the Court of Kastrychnitski district.
The incident is the third preventive detention and isolation of activists during the multilateral negotiations in Minsk aimed to end the war in the Donbass region. Earlier, administrative penalties were imposed on opposition activist Pavel Vinahradau and Dzmitry Kremenetski. Some activists are hiding from the police.
