Baranavichy: Viktar Statkevich is looking forward to release of his son from jail

August 13, Baranavichy representatives of political parties and public organizations visited Viktar Statkevich and congratulated him on the 58th anniversary of his son , ex-presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich who is serving a sentence in prison № 4 in Mahiliou.

Statkevich Sr. doesn't feel quite well: he has a high blood pressure and feels dizzy, that's why he couldn't receive guests on the son's birthday.

“We tried to give moral support to him, wished a good health and a quick release of his jailed son. However, he doesn't believe in an early release of his son,” said Viktar Syrytsa.

At the departure, the guests presented to Viktar Statkevich an issue of the newspaper "Nasha Niva", devoted to the political prisoner.
