Political prisoner Yauhen Vaskovich is pressurized through other prisoners

As it became known to the organizing committee of the party "Belarusian Christian Democracy" from sources in Mahiliou prison No. 4, the administration started exercising pressure on the activist with the use of other prisoners.

Earlier, Yauhen Vaskovich was tortured with endless placement in solitary confinement, deprival of food, visits and parcels. Now the prison staff uses another tactic.

The BCD leadership connects it attempts to get Yauhen to write a petition for clemency on the eve of the World Hockey Championship - and demands the immediate cessation of pressurization and the release of Yauhen Vaskovich.

Bear in mind that a member of the BCD Yauhen Vaskovich was arrested January 17, 2011 in Mahiliou on the day following his participation in the action of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners. He was accused of assaulting a KGB building in Babruisk, which occurred on the night of 16 to 17 October 2010. No one was hurt as a result of the attack, the real losses totaled 253,000 rubles, which were compensated. Despite this, Yauhen Vaskovich was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment in maximum security prison.
