If we pay attention to the social status of the candidates for deputies of the Hrodna City Council, we will find out that almost all of them are high-ranking officials and heads of enterprises who have quite large wages and assets by the Belarusian standards.

According to the official data, the largest monthly wage was earned during the previous year by the head of the department of social development of the JSC "Azot" (“Nitrogen”) Viktar Rusak – 22,079,000 rubles. Then comes Deputy Director of the Company "Sayuzprammantazh" Vital Ufimtsau with 21,841,000 rubles a month, recently dismissed head of the Hrodna Regional Police Uladzimir Sycheuski – 21,373,000, director of Hrodn Mechanical Plant Siarhei Ivarouski – 20,541,000, the current Chairman of Hrodna City Council of Deputies Anatol Nikitsin – 20,379,000, first deputy director of the company "Hrodna agency for state Registration and Land Cadastre" Henadz Karpovich – 18,908,000, foreman of the enterprise "Malochny Mir" (“Diary World”) Puatro Pahranouski – 15,475,000, chief physician of the city ambulance hospital Siarhei Lazarevich – 14,499,000. The city prosecutor Uladzimir Klishyn has a slightly lower wage – 12,842,000 rubles, First Deputy Chairman of the Hrodna City Executive Committee Barys Fiodarau – 12,653,000 rubles.

Such monthly wages are far beyond the hopes and possibilities of middle and petty officials, ordinary teachers and medics. Maybe this is the reason why they are absent in this list.
