In Navapolatsk, representatives of political parties and democratic civil society organizations filed an application for a picket on Freedom Day, March 25.
The purpose of the picket is to require the immediate release of all political prisoners, held by the Belarusian authorities.It should be noted that in recent years, the local authorities have never allowed any pickets in Navapolatsk.
The activists intend to appeal the possible picket denial. The application was filed by a member of the Belarusian Popular Front Uladzimir Kuntsevich and a member of the Human Rights Center “Viasna” Zmitser Salauyou.
