Plainclothes policemen employees of Biaroza detained on Friday evening Aliaksandr Kabanau and his brother Yauhen as they were distributing leaflets to support the campaign “Stop-Tax”.
According to Aliaksandr Kabanau, they managed to distribute 30 leaflets calling people to support the action, aimed at protesting against the government`s plans to impose a new tax on motor vehicle owners, and were then detained by policemen in civilian clothes.
Aliaksandr Kabanau and his brother were charged with administrative offences and released half an hour later. Their leaflets were confiscated.
