10 journalists (reporters and photographers) were detained at Minsk railway station back then. They wanted to meet Pavel Sevyarynets on his release from a penal labour camp.

Policemen detained Euroradio journalists Ales Piletski and Vital Ruhain and also Alyaksandr Vasyukovich, Syarhjei Hudzilin, Andrei Korsak, Zahar Shcharbakou, Yahor Mayorchyk, Dzyanis Nosau, Nadzeya Hatsak and Barys Haretski.

Nadzeya Alyaksandrava, investigator of October District department of the Investigation Committee, is checking the fact of journalists’ detention now. BAJ press secretary Barys Haretski was summoned to give evidence to her on Friday, the press service of the Belarusian Association of Journalists reports.

Haretski gave written evidence and asked to punish the policemen if they were returned guilty. According to the investigator, the check-up will be over by December 4, 2013. Nadzeya Alyaksandrava is going to interrogate the other detained journalists by then.
