Deputy chairman of the United Civil Party Vasil Paliakou received a summons to the Navabelitski District Police Department of Homel. According to the notice, he must come to the head of the public order department Khilkevich on 10 November. It is known that the police were also looking for other Homel oppositionists to pass them similar notices.

Vasil Paliakou thinks that the reason for the summons to the police was their participation in the rally in memory of the victims of Stalinist repression which was held in Homel on 3 November. The activists of the opposition parties laid flowers and wreaths and lit candles near the memorial crosses, set in the places of mass killings of people in the years of Stalinist repression. Also, the people cleaned the surroundings of the memorial places and painted the crosses. The rally was held under white -red- white flags.

It should be noted that local democrats hold memorial actions in these places every year, but haven't been summonsed to the police before.
