Paviel Vinahradau was taken from prison to outside the city
The opposition activist was taken to the area of the Sokal settlement near Minsk in order to sabotage people meeting him from prison in Akrescina Street.
Paviel Vinahradau’s father reported about that to Radio Svaboda.
The leader of Zmena youth organization was supposed to be released from prison today around 13.00. Relatives, friends and journalists gathered in Akrestcina Street in order to meet him. However, they did not see Paviel Vinahradau. Some time later he made a phone call and told that he was in the area of Sokal settlement near Minsk.
The leader of Zmena – the youth wing of Tell the Truth civil campaign – was detained by policemen on 27 September around noon near his house. He was returning from the action that Zmena activists held in Jakub Kolas Square. The action’s participants put pig heads on benches with poster urging to release political prisoners, increase the salaries of doctors, not to introduce an exit fee and others.
A judge Kiryl Palulekh sentenced him to 15 days in prison.
