The leader of Zmena movement expressed an assumption that he was detained because of the summit of the head of the governments of CIS countries, which would start in Minsk today.

Pavel Vinahradau was also detained yesterday and spent almost the whole day at a police station. ‘Preventive conversations’ were led with him.

We would remind that a session of the Council of the heads of CIS member states is taking place in Minsk today.

The authorities will block the traffic in the center of the city because of that.

Prime ministers of six countries will take place in the meeting – Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia and Tajikistan. The delegations of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan will be headed by vice prime ministers; Turkmenistan will be represented at the summit by the deputy chairman of the cabinet of ministers. The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will represent Moldova at the session.
