Nina Bahinskaya taken to hospital from court
A 67-year-old woman fainted at the trial over a picket on Freedom Day.
Nina Bahinskaya went to Minsk's Maskouski district police department to collect her passport, Euroradio reports. Policemen didn't return her passport and took the woman to a court for an “unsanctioned picket”. Nina Bahinskaya fell unconscious in the court after a long wait. An ambulance took her to hospital. The activist received injections and could go home. The women got her passport back in the court, but a court decision has not been pronounced.
Nina Bahinskaya was detained by the police yesterday near the Red Church for raising a national white-red-white flag on occasion of Freedom Day. Officers of the Maskouski district police department pushed the women to the ground as they tried to detain her.
