Criminal Prosecution Regarding Magazine ARCHE Denied
There will be no criminal case against the magazine “ARCHE. Beginning”, told the accountant of the editorial office Alena Kazlova.
On March 22 the lawyer of the editorial office was informed that, after the half a year check-up of the outlet’s accountancy reports, criminal prosecution was denied. The Investigative Committee and the Committee of State Control don’t give any additional commentary to the press-service of BAJ.
If the information is true, then the bank account, which is blocked since October 4, must get unblocked. The check-up brought the publishing of the magazine to a stand-still, and the editor Valery Bulhakau temporarily left Belarus. The editorial office tried to re-register the outlet in order to continue publishing, but received refusals three times.
