Vitsebsk police detained today activists of the Belarusian Popular Front Party Leanid Autukhou and Kastus Smolikau while distributing leaflets with an invitation to come to the rally on March 25.
It is reported that the detainees are currently in Kastrychnitski District Police Department of Vitsebsk.
Last week Vitsebsk city executive committee banned two Freedom Day events scheduled for March 25, dismissing a request submitted by local pro-democratic activists.
