Members of Brest City Council are urged to publish their contact information for electors
The heads of Brest branches of
political parties and civil associations filed an appropriate appeal
to the head of Brest City Council Henadz Masko.
As stated by
the head of Brest regional branch of the United Civil Party,
Uladzimir Vuyek, the application reminds that according to the Law
"On the status of members of local councils", members of
the councils have to report to the electorate. In reality, the
contacts of electors with members of the councils are complicated by
the fact that their contact information is absent in mass media and
at the website of Brest City Executive Committee.
Authors of
the appeal urge the administration of this representative body to
correct this defect and publish their telephone numbers and e-mail
addresses in the media and at the website with the aim to improve the
communication between the electorate and the elected deputies.
