On 12 February the
Minsk City Court considered the appeal of an activist of the
"European Belarus"" Uladzimir Lemesh.
The trial
lasted just for quarter of an hour. The judge dismissed Lemesh's
appeal against the verdict of the Pershamaiski District Court of
Minsk by which he had been fined 3 million rubles for alleged
insubordination to riot policemen in mufti.
According to the
activist, he will take a decision whether to continue appealing the
verdict at higher court instances after consulting some lawyers.
